The Children’s Fair at Shippensburg University is open to the public every year on Saturday, April 4. There are carnival games, crafts, activities, and prize giveaways, and students volunteer their time to help make the fair a success. The University also sponsors the local Target Children’s Fair. The fair is free and open to the public, but donations are always welcome. In addition to being free, the Children’s Fair also benefits local charities.

Shippensburg University hosts 30th annual children’s fair

On April 1, Shippensburg University will host its 30th annual Children’s Fair. This free event is designed to engage local children and their families with the university’s activities and programs. Featuring inflatable bouncy houses, face painting, craft stations, and a German band, the fair is free to attend. It’s also designed to promote the university’s volunteer service office and build a positive relationship with the surrounding community.

The event is sponsored by the Shippensburg University Education Council, which works to promote the university and its students through governmental and business contacts. The fair will also feature performances by local children. The event will conclude with a free hot dog and popcorn lunch for children. During the event, students and parents can enjoy fun games and face painting while learning about the university’s history, traditions, and achievements.

Students from the college’s literacy center will lead activities with local children and create informational brochures for parents. They will also perform a variety of reading and literacy activities for the community. The children’s fair is held in the University’s new H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center, which features state-of-the-art theatre technology and is convenient and easy to access. Parking is free.

Participating organizations

The annual Children’s Fair is back at Shippensburg University on April 1, 10 AM to 2 PM. Sponsored by the Career and Community Engagement Center, this event features free activities, crafts and carnival games. While admission is free, participants must purchase 25-cent tickets for some activities. Participants can also purchase a T-shirt for $3. Entertainment features a German band and Little Princess Playhouse.

The event is free and open to the public. Local and regional businesses will be present, as well as the University. The event takes place in the Borough Parking Lot across from the Shippensburg Police Department. Patron parking is available in designated areas throughout downtown Shippensburg. The fair is open rain or shine. The children’s area will close at 2 p.m. to allow for free parking.

Children’s star show

The Franklin Science Center is the site of the University’s Children’s Fair. This event brings to life the wonders of the stars and provides a fun introduction for children. It is intended for children five years of age and up. Registration is required to attend the show. The fair is open to the public.
