Kathi Mettler Fairfield University’s Master of Science in Accounting

As a long-time director of PwC, Kathi Mettler will use her experience from the classroom and her tax expertise to help WTP consultants become better at what they do. She hopes that WTP will offer training to its clients. A champion of women in the workplace, Mettler has a strong track record in helping other women advance. She has also spoken out about the importance of achieving success through education.

Charles F. Dolan School of Business

The Charles F. Dolan School of Business at Kathi Mettler Fairfield University offers a number of graduate programs that encourage students to become ethical business leaders. In the MSA program, students learn from faculty with a variety of experiences and broad knowledge of business environments. Topics such as the recent #MeToo movement and the Changing Dynamics of the Workforce are also discussed.

Experience in tax planning

As assistant professor of practice at Fairfield University’s Dolan School of Business, Kathi Mettler teaches international tax planning. Previously, she headed the international tax learning and education program for Price Waterhouse Cooper in Stamford, Connecticut. She holds a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Birmingham-Southern College. Currently, she lives in Fairfield, Connecticut.

She has 25 years of industry and public accounting experience. Her work includes mergers and acquisitions, international tax planning, and accounting methods. She holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in taxation from the University of Minnesota. She has also presented on international tax matters and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the International Fiscal Association. She is also an active member of the Connecticut Chapter of the IFA.

Experience in consulting

With 24 years of Big Four public accounting firm experience, one year in industry, and three years of teaching experience, Kathi Mettler brings a unique perspective to the MSA program. She has extensive expertise in international tax planning, timing the repatriation of foreign earnings, and maximizing debt and holding company structures. Her experience spans a variety of industries and industry sectors, including finance, real estate, and healthcare.
